The Throat Center: Manifestation and Metabolism

Biological correlation: The thyroid and parathyroid glands; metabolism; the literal throat, voice, and speech. Function: The Throat Center is the Center of manifestation in Human Design. Nothing is manifested without the Throat. It is also the most complex Center — with 11 Gates, the most possible connections to other Centers, and the most varied expression. When a motor Center (Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, or Root) is connected to the Throat — directly or through a series of Channels — it creates the capacity to initiate. Defined Throat: Consistent voice and way of expressing or manifesting. Undefined Throat: Variable expression — adapts and mirrors others' communication style. Not-Self: Speaking to attract attention; speaking at the wrong time. Wisdom: Knowing when to speak and when not to.
